BLACKPINK's Jisoo Returns With Solo Single 'Click' on Sept. 4

While her October duet "Eyes Closed" with Zayn offered a Western pop collaboration, BLACKPINK's Jisoo will release her solo single "Click" on Sept. 4, 11 months after that joint project. Her agency Blissoo confirmed the upcoming launch on Tuesday, setting the stage for her next major recording campaign. This standalone track directly precedes her upcoming debut full-length studio album.

Her discography began with BLACKPINK in 2016 before expanding into solo territory with the four-track EP "Amortage" in February 2025. That introductory mini-album topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 45 countries and regions worldwide. Following the four members' departure from YG Entertainment in December 2023 for individual pursuits, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé issued solo LPs under their own labels while Jisoo prioritized acting alongside music. According to Yonhap, Blissoo confirmed that additional release details will emerge as the launch approaches. The Korea Herald reported that the upcoming single is entirely solo and will not feature another artist.

This release confirms Jisoo as the final BLACKPINK member to mount a full-length solo album campaign.

According to The Korea Herald, Grammy-winning music video director Joseph Kahn directed the visual for the single in a northeastern district of Bangkok. Kahn brings high-profile production experience from past video projects with Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Eminem. The industry source told The Korea Herald that "the new song won't feature another artist this time, and it's part of her first full-length solo album, which will include several other songs." The upcoming release also follows closely behind groupmate Jennie, who releases her six-track physical EP "Fallen Angel" featuring title track "Fallen Angel" alongside "Less than a Lover," "Sweettooth," "Lockitdown," "Face," and "Heaven" on Friday.

The move fits a pattern of strategic solo rollouts following the group's 2023 management split, allowing each member to establish distinct stylistic identities across global markets.
