K-POP WAVE exists to give international fans one reliable place for K-Pop news. We are an AI-assisted publication — and we believe being open about exactly how that works is the foundation of your trust.
How Our Articles Are Made
Our pipeline collects public reporting from outlets including Soompi, Yonhap News Agency, and Koreaboo, as well as official agency channels and news-search results. It groups related reports, retrieves the source articles, and selects a subject supported by the source text. AI then writes an English-language brief or report, translating Korean material where needed.
The available evidence determines the length: a short announcement may need only a brief, while a fuller report needs more source material. We do not add claims or repeat information to reach a word count. Automated code checks structure and source attribution, and an AI reviewer checks factual claims against the retrieved source text. A failed review may lead to a revision and another review; unresolved failures block publication. These checks reduce errors but cannot guarantee that an article is error-free.
AI Disclosure
- Articles are AI-written. All articles are machine-generated summaries and analyses of publicly reported news, published under the collective byline K-POP WAVE Editorial. We do not present AI output under invented human personas.
- People set the rules. The team maintains the sourcing and publication rules and investigates reported problems. Pre-publication checks are automated; a human editor does not review every article before it goes live.
- No fabricated quotes or events. The pipeline works only from what sources actually reported. If it isn't in a cited source, it shouldn't be in our article — and if it is, we want to know (see Corrections).
Sourcing & Attribution
Articles link to the reporting they use. A link identifies where a claim came from; it does not mean we independently witnessed the event. Stories from a single non-official, non-wire outlet are held for additional coverage while the source report is less than 36 hours old, when its publication time is known. After that window, they may proceed with one source if they pass the same publication checks. Official channels and wire reports can proceed without that wait. One source is not described as independent corroboration. We publish summaries and analysis — never full reproductions — and we do not claim ownership of the original journalism we cover. Rumors & Privacy
We do not publish unverified rumors or speculation about artists' private lives. Coverage sticks to what artists and their agencies have made public — comebacks, releases, performances, awards, and officially confirmed news. Respect for artists and their fans is a hard rule, not a preference.
Corrections & Updates
AI-assisted reporting can make mistakes. When a possible error is identified, we compare the disputed claim with the original source and check whether the wording, attribution, or context needs to change. Corrections must preserve what the source supports; an automated quality score alone is not proof of accuracy.

Independence & Advertising
No agency, label, or artist pays for coverage, and coverage cannot be bought. If we ever run advertising, ads will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content and will never influence what we publish.
