SF9 introduced its second full-length album, TENACITY, at a media showcase held August 26 at Cube Convention Center in Seoul's Mapo District. The 10-track album was released at 6 p.m. that day, capping a 10th-year run that began with the special album About Love in March.
The title combines the idea of persistence with the group's ten years since its October 2016 debut. Lead single Without Wings uses an Afrobeats-based production, and Hwiyoung said he drew on his own experiences to write a hopeful message suited to the song's title and concept.
Six members attended the showcase: Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Hwiyoung and Chani. Yoo Tae-yang and Zuho are sitting out promotions while completing military service. Youngbin said the enlisted members sent messages of support ahead of the release.
