Producer Park Woo-sang Publicly Invites BTS's Jin to Collaborate

'I do not know BTS member Jin personally, but I sensed an indescribable sadness behind his clear outward appearance,' producer Park Woo-sang said in an interview at Logos Studio in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul. According to Ten Asia, Park publicly named the BTS vocalist as an artist he hopes to work with while discussing his career and approach to music.

Park compared his past production efforts to rolling a die that consistently landed on 1 or 2 before 'Starry Night' became a turning point. He recalled that composer Kim Do-hoon visited his room with a guitar progression and that the first verse, lyrics, and melody came together within 30 minutes. Discussing Hwasa's solo hit 'Maria,' Park said he insisted on finishing the song and worked through the night with her. He later reunited with Hwasa on 'Good Goodbye,' their first substantial collaboration since 'Maria.'

Park explained that his interest in Jin stems from a desire to capture human emotion rather than technical proficiency alone. He noted that modern music production has become fragmented among top-liners, lyricists, vocal directors, and engineers who may complete tracks without meeting the vocalists. While vocal academies can train high notes within months, Park said authentic emotional depth cannot be learned in the same way. He also warned that relying heavily on one-click artificial intelligence can leave skill gaps among emerging producers who bypass the patience and persistence required for fundamental craftsmanship.

Park said Jin's outward clarity seemed to contain an inexpressible sadness and that working together could produce a beautiful result.
