Over 22,000 convenience stores across Japan will soon stock ARIH, the global food and beverage brand developed by Paldo and hy in collaboration with BTS. According to Korea Herald, the brand confirmed its expansion into Japan and Canada on Tuesday after first launching in the United States through Walmart in April and debuting in Korea in June. The fandom wasted no time sharing online reviews from initial markets, which generated steady consumer inquiries across both target countries.
"Through various marketing activities that link sales with consumer experiences, we will communicate the ARIH brand’s philosophy and product competitiveness to local consumers," a Paldo and hy official stated. The companies also plan to gradually extend distribution into South America and Southeast Asia.
Retail partnerships anchor the brand's international rollout across both regions. The brand secured exclusive Japanese sales through 7-Eleven Japan, while partnering with Loblaw, a retail group controlling approximately 30 percent of Canada's retail market. Paldo, Korea's top cold instant noodle producer with a 40.83 percent stake in fermented dairy maker hy, designed ARIH specifically for global markets.
Exclusive pop-up events will support the regional store launches. Zerobase Shibuya in Tokyo hosts the Japanese pop-up from Wednesday to Sunday. Meanwhile, the Canadian pop-up runs in Toronto from Friday to Sunday alongside BTS' world tour concert 'Arirang' in the city.
Paldo and hy continue refining their Canadian product lineup based directly on local consumer responses.
