Former Swalla Trainee and Dancer Yoon Mirae Dies at 35

Yoon Mirae, a dancer who previously prepared to debut with the girl group Swalla, died in March 2026 at age 35. News of her death became public in early April after her longtime friend and former teammate Kim Hana shared a memorial notice on social media.

Kim wrote that she and Yoon had been teammates and roommates for more than ten years. She remembered Yoon as someone who loved beautiful, colorful things and joyful occasions, and asked people who knew her to join in saying goodbye. Kim also said she served as Yoon's primary guardian and chief mourner for the funeral.

Funeral proceedings began on March 18, and the procession was held on March 20, according to South Korean reports. The reports did not publicly state a cause of death, and no cause should be inferred from the available information.

Yoon and Kim had been preparing to debut together in 2019 as members of the planned four-member group Swalla. The project ended before the group made its official debut.
